Studio Wall is an initiative comprising three figurative painters from Birmingham Artspace (an independent studio group in Birmingham city centre) plus emerging guest artists from the region. We are dedicated to promoting small to mid-size paintings by artists who take inspiration from archive material, photographic and printed sources. Studio Wall’s ethos is to unite like-minded practitioners from different stages in their careers, to create thought provoking conversations between art works and their makers. In the selection and hang of our work, we aim to create an intimate dynamic for viewers/clients where they can consider the heightened interrelationship of materials, themes and approaches that resonate when artworks are grouped together. A range of small works on board at affordable prices are now available for new collectors alongside framed and unframed paintings.
