Jane’s paintings gently invite the viewer to look more closely at the landscape to understand what “caught her eye”.

The inspiration for each of these pieces was a single moment of observation, the light striking the side of a building or the shadows cast by a tree reflected in a puddle.

Whether almost abstract or clearly representational, each of these paintings employs a considered palette, creating atmosphere and suggesting memories of places which resonate in us all.

Saw it. Liked it. Painted it. Simple as that.
