'My mind is continually taking in the landscape around me. I don’t record anything directly; I carry it with me. I’m often drawn to crumbling cottages and old industrial structures, and to how they sit within the contours of the land. These memories find their way intuitively into my mixed media compositions. My paintings aren't literal views, but responses to what lingers — fragments of structure, atmosphere and history.  In these fragments of structure and terrain, past and present converge, reminding us that every landscape carries the imprint of lives lived and collective memory’.
