“I’m delighted to be launching my new collection of paintings ’Signs of Hope’ at Spring Cheltenham Gallery in this April. My inspiration is always the emotions evoked by the natural landscape; it both makes me pause and want to breathe all that beauty in, and want to rush forward and experience it all at the same time. Studio explorations have taken me to some exciting new places. I’ve been looking afresh at my much beloved big, beautiful wide-open landscapes as well newly discovered smaller more intimate moments of beauty and hope, found in waterfalls, sunlight, and nature.

There's something about being able to see the horizon that brings me such a deep sense of peace. I’ve earned my place there, I’ve battled up the big hill, overcome myself and so many obstacles, and my reward is the incredible beauty I now see before me. It’s the calm, the immense joy I feel in the realisation that I’m a small part of something much bigger. That beauty gives me hope, it helps me look outside of myself and my immediate circumstances and believe there is more.”
